In the early 1990s, Adams began dancing professionally for Boulder's Dinner Theatre as well as the Country Dinner Playhouse. After that, she relocated to Minnesota and was cast in Drop Dead Gorgeous, a mock documentary film that explored beauty contests. The film's debut on screen was the bright, beautiful contestant. After that the move to Los Angeles in order to pursue a career as an actor. She was the wife of the actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 from September 1962 to June 1951 and the mother of Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was caught by actress Norma shearer and signed a contract to join MGM in the late 1940s. She starred in a number of cult films over the following decade, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (from the year 1960) and Living It Up (1954) which starred Martin Lewis.
