Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports as young as fourteen years old. She began training in kickboxing boxing wrestling, and BJJ. She made her amateur debut at age 18 in WCFC against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd kept building on her win during Ultimate Reno Combat, where she won three consecutive fights. She defeated all her competitors in the initial round. After that, she went to WCFC for the second time and defeated Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen won over Silvia B beghian as well as Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia Calvillo handed Aspen an unanimity loss and outclassed her to tarnish Ladd's career as an amateur. Ladd rebounded from the loss and defeated Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-1. Aspen was a professional when she entered the ranks in 2015. She joined Invicta FC and made her debut. Aspen fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, where she dominated her to secure a first-round TKO. Invicta fought her at Bantamweight and won via armbar submission during the second round. Aspen utilized the techniques she learned from wrestling to defeat McGill. She won her bout via TKO (3rd round) (elbows, punches). Aspen took on Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy as the catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd was not able to gain weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy to finish her in second round by TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her final fight for the company. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks be defeated in a unanimous verdict. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, in a fight against Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina by using her ground and pound tactics and earned the TKO second-round victory. She continued her dominance and racked up an impressive victory in her next fight against Tonya Evinger in UFC 229. Ladd defeated Evinger in the first round and got a performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC's Sijara Ebanks was her opponent for a rematch at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was her debut major fight. The two fighters had one of the most competitive fights that Ladd won by unanimous decision. Both fighters received an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie took 16 seconds to finish Ladd and her streak. After a short break her return to the ring and finished Yana Kunizkaya in UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. In her place She fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. The fight ended in an unanimous decision.
