Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. Her reporting in Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases resulted in the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the cases. According to the Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the year Award for all South Carolina media.
