Julie Chen Moonves hosted the popular reality TV show in the summer of Big Brother which returned to CBS for the 22nd season on the 5th of August. Chen Moonves had been The Talk's first hosts, hosting and moderating The Talk from 2010 until 2018. However, her true passion came when she added writer to her duties, and was awarded an Emmy for this. The Talk, her outstanding talk show brought her an Emmy. The Talk examines contemporary events by looking through the eyes of five female hosts. Chen Moonves hosted CBS News' early morning news show The Early Show for a 10 years. Prior to that, Chen Moonves was the CBS Morning News' anchor as well as the anchor for news on The Early Show. After the terrorist attacks on 9/11 Chen Moonves was able to track down the father of the hijackers and their leader to give an exclusive interview. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news show, profiling celebrities like Jamie Lee Curtis and Paula Abdul. Chen Moonves covered the Emmy Award-winning CBS Sunday Morning News program. He profiled celebrities like Jamie Lee Curtis or Paula Abdul. Before joining The Early Show he was the CBS affiliated station's reporter at New York City, WCBS. Her previous jobs include working as a reporter for ABC NewsOne, the network's affiliated news service (1992-1995) as well as a desk assistant within ABC News' Los Angeles Bureau (1990-1991) and all the while completing her final year of university from the University of Southern California. Her first job in broadcasting as a Desk Assistant on ABC News' late-night show Nightline featuring Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is still among her favorite journalists. Chen Moonves worked with Koppel on the Columbia du-Pont-winning show on primetime, Anatomy of a Riot, which examined the 1992 Los Angeles riots.
